The Sindh High Court has accepted the bail application of Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani in the case of assets in excess of income.
Agha Siraj Durrani’s lawyer Jafar Raza Advocate argued in the court and said that Agha Siraj Durrani has spent 1 year and 8 months in jail, the accused deserves bail for spending such a period in jail.
The Sindh High Court declared that the hearing on the bail application will be held on July 20.
The court directed the NAB to ensure the presence of the investigating officer.
It should be noted that Agha Siraj Durrani is in jail on the charge of making assets beyond his income.
The Sindh Home Department has declared the house of Agha Siraj Durrani as a sub-jail.
