Lahore: During operations in different cities of CTD Punjab, 7 terrorists associated with banned organizations were arrested.
According to the spokesman Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab, intelligence-based operations were conducted in Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala. Meanwhile, 7 terrorists belonging to banned organizations Al-Qaeda and TTP were arrested.
According to the authorities, the arrested terrorists have been identified as Abrar-ul-Haq, Abdul Rahman, Umeer, Imran, Ashfaq, Ayub and Muawiya, from whose possession explosives, detonator, mobile phone, arms, bullets and cash were recovered. Cases have been registered against the terrorists and investigation has been started.
According to CTD spokesperson, 18 suspects were arrested during 139 combing operations this week, in which 8523 people were questioned. The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) is committed to pursuing the goal of a safe Punjab and rooting out the scourge of terrorism.
