Parvesh Shukla, a local leader of Madhya Pradesh’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), urinated on a man belonging to a religious minority sitting on the footpath.
The video of the incident went viral, while the accused was arrested.
Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath said that this incident made entire Madhya Pradesh bow its head in shame.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan described the incident as tragic.
Congress spokesperson Abbas Hafeez said that Parvesh Shukla is a member of BJP.
Regarding the incident, Parvesh’s father Ramakant said that his son was being targeted politically for being a member of the BJP.
