The cost of electricity for disco users has been increased by Rs 1 25 paise per unit

Islamabad: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase of Rs 1.25 paisa per unit of electricity for disco consumers.

The third quarter adjustment of DISCO’s financial year 2022-23 has been approved.

According to Nepra, this will be applicable to bills for the months of July, August and September 2023. DISCOs had submitted a request for quarterly adjustments to Nepra.

Earlier, consumers were being charged an average of 47 paise per unit in quarterly adjustments till June 2023.

The decision will apply to all consumers of discos except Lifeline consumers, while it will not apply to electric consumers.
