Peshawar: On the call of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, lawyers protested against the Swedish government and took out a rally.
According to Express News, against the desecration of Quran in Sweden, the lawyers of Peshawar took out a rally from the High Court to the Assembly Square on the appeal of the Bar Council, burnt the Swedish flag and shouted slogans against the Swedish government.
The Peshawar High Court Bar Association also demanded the closure of the Swedish embassy and said that the embassy should be closed until the Swedish government apologizes.
The lawyers said that the Swedish government should take strict action against the people involved in the incident. The desecration of the Holy Quran has hurt the sentiments of the entire Islamic world.
