An 8-year-old boy died after being electrocuted by an electric water cooler at Multan railway station.
According to railway officials, 8-year-old Faiz was waiting for the Pakistan Express to go to Faisalabad along with his parents when the child started drinking water from the electric water cooler installed at the station and died on the spot due to electrocution.
Railway authorities have suspended the refrigerator mechanic and formed an inquiry committee on the incident.
According to Deputy Superintendent (DS) Railway Hamad Hasan, the heirs of the child have denied any kind of legal action, but after the inquiry, strict departmental action will be taken against the responsible persons.
