Sources say that the IMF has been assured that Pakistan will increase its foreign exchange reserves, Pakistan will reform public sector institutions, Pakistan will not give any new tax amnesty during 9 months.
The IMF has also been assured that Pakistan’s lenders will ensure the implementation of their assurances, while trade restrictions have also been decided to be lifted.
Sources say that the IMF board will consider Pakistan’s Letter of Intent loan application in the meeting, after the approval of the IMF board, Pakistan will get the installment of one billion dollars in 3-4 days.
