After the escape of 17 prisoners involved in serious crimes from Sub Jail in Chaman, new staff has been appointed after changing the jail staff.
The prison administration says that after the construction of almost a century old prison, no repairs have been done, the security fences on all four sides of the barracks have been pushed down many times by the prisoners.
The administration has said that there are no CCTV cameras inside the jail, even watch towers could not be built to protect the jail and barracks.
Police say that on the day of the incident, one officer and two officials were posted on prison security.
On the other hand, the police have registered a case of escape of 17 prisoners involved in serious crimes from Sub Jail.
According to the police, the case against the escaped prisoners has been registered in the government complaint.
It should be noted that on the morning of Eid, 17 prisoners involved in serious crimes took away the weapon from the security guard of the prison and tortured him and injured 3 officials and escaped by breaking the lock of the gate.
During the operation in the nearby border areas, the police killed one fugitive prisoner and arrested two others injured in the exchange of fire while one prisoner surrendered voluntarily.
On this incident SP suspended 3 police officers and one official including the jailer.
