9 people died in Rawalpindi and Islamabad due to heat and heatstroke in a week, according to the district administration, the deaths were reported during the week.
The heat took lives, but the air-conditioners of Islamabad’s biggest government hospital, Pims, are still poor.
The cooling system of emergency, surgical, CCU and ICU has been out of service for several months due to which many doctors have also suffered from heat stroke.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Health says that work is going on to improve the cooling system.
It should be noted that last few days there was extreme heat in Islamabad.
