India’s Modi government’s claim of good relations with the interim Afghan government turned out to be a lie.
The Modi government is still keeping Ashraf Ghani-era ambassador Farid Mamondzai in the Afghan embassy, under whose management there are serious allegations of corruption in the Afghan embassy.
The charges include illegal leasing of commercial buildings, supply of subsidized wheat and looting of commercial activities.
Complaints of this corruption and corruption have also been made in writing by the Afghans residing in India.
Not only this, there are also serious allegations like demands for bribes in obtaining and extending visas to Afghan students studying in India.
Due to corruption and mismanagement, the interim Afghan government ordered the resignation of the current ambassador and also issued a decree to appoint Qadir Shah, the commercial adviser of the Afghan embassy, as the charge d’affaires of Afghanistan.
In this regard, the Modi government has been refusing to allow the newly appointed Afghan charge d’affaires to present diplomatic credentials for several weeks.
According to experts, not allowing to present credentials is a violation of diplomatic protocol.
Apart from this, the secret contacts of the Modi government with the opponents of the interim Afghan government like Younis Quni and other militant groups have also been revealed.
According to confirmed reports, a delegation of Afghan Taliban rebels led by Yunus Quni has also made a secret visit to India recently.
According to sources, India is currently in contact with former Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah.
In this regard, experts say that the Indian government’s support to the rebels is equivalent to destabilizing the interim Afghan government.
