Long announced and unannounced loadshedding has been going on for many days in different areas of Karachi.
In various areas, the duration of load shedding has reached 4 to 14 hours, while in the exempted areas, power is missing for 4 to 6 hours.
Residents of Lyari, Old City Area, Kemari, Abul Hasan Isfahani Road, Korangi, Orangi, Landhi, Sohrab Goth and Sarjani Town are facing problems due to electricity load shedding.
Loadshedding is being done in various areas including New Karachi, North Karachi, Garden, Liaquatabad, Quaidabad, FB Area, Mahmoodabad and Malir.
An Electric spokesperson, on the other hand, said that the load-shedding period in the city has not been modified, the schedule is available on the Electric website.
The spokesperson said that the duration of load shedding depends on the rate of power theft and losses, it is not correct to equate regional faults with load shedding.
