The number of cases pending in the Supreme Court exceeded 54,500. The Supreme Court released the report of pending cases till June 15.
According to the report, the number of pending civil petitions in the Supreme Court reached 29 thousand 557, the number of pending civil appeals reached 9 thousand 758.
The report stated that the number of criminal applications pending in the Supreme Court is 8 thousand 915, the number of revision applications pending in the Supreme Court is 1 thousand 438.
The number of criminal appeals pending in the Supreme Court is 1062 while the constitutional appeals pending in the Supreme Court are 130.
The report said that 25 suo motu notices are pending in the Supreme Court.
