15 people died as a result of a collision between a truck and an elderly van in the Canadian province of Manitoba.
According to sources, the road has been closed for two-way traffic after the accident.
Officials say the accident happened in the Carberry area near Winnipeg.
According to a Canadian police officer, the van was heading south on Highway 5 towards the town of Carberry, while the semi-trailer was heading east on Highway 1.
Police say that there has never been a traffic accident with such a large loss of life in Manitoba.
