Nasir Butt wins another case in the British High Court, he wins a defamation case against another Pakistani private TV channel.
Justice Mrs. Hydrolims rejected the stand of the private channel that Nawaz Sharif was punished for corruption.
The private TV case itself was based on the fact that Nawaz Sharif’s conviction in the Al-Azizia case was based on evidence of corruption.
The channel was of the opinion that the news of Nasir Butt threatening and bribing Judge Arshad Malik was aired in the public interest, Arshad Malik had been properly punished.
Judge Justice Mrs Heather Williams refused to accept the channel’s position.
The judge accepted Nasir Butt’s argument that Nawaz Sharif had been raped, Nasir Butt secretly made a video and exposed Judge Arshad Malik.
The court accepted Nasir Butt’s position that it is not wrong to use the video of the judge to prove Nawaz Sharif’s innocence.
Nasir Butt told the judge that he did not feel even for a moment that Nawaz Sharif had done anything wrong.
Nasir Butt argued that if the judge had told Arshad Malik that I was filming him, he would never have confessed.
The judge also ordered the TV channel to pay Nasir Butt £35,000 and legal costs.
Nasir Butt’s case was formally heard in the London High Court, the evidence in the case was reviewed by an English judge, the case was decided after a 4-day trial.
In the video, Judge Arshad Malik admits that he sentenced Nawaz Sharif to 10 years of imprisonment in the Al-Azizia case after being blackmailed.
The lawyers of the TV channel said that the honest judge Arshad Malik was threatened and bribed by Nasirbat.
The London High Court judge dismissed the arguments of the channel’s lawyers as weak and expressed displeasure at the channel’s lawyers’ continued insistence.
London High Court judge Mrs Justice Heather Williams delivered the 36-page judgment.
The judge also imposed a ban on the channel that it cannot repeat the allegations against Nawaz Sharif and Nasir Butt.
The judge rejected the arguments of the private channel against Nawaz Sharif and Nasir Butt.
The judge declared that Nasirbut had been defamed and reputation damaged by blackmail and false accusations.
When the channel made the allegations in July 2019, it was owned by Zafar Siddiqui in Pakistan and Tahir Khan in the UK.
Nasir Butt took a stand that Nawaz Sharif would have never given permission to make a video about Arshad Malik’s confession, making a video of Judge Arshad Malik was in the interest of the people and justice.
The judge himself apologized to Nawaz Sharif in Jati Amra and said that he had no other choice.
A London High Court judge ruled that it could not be proved that Nasir Butt had threatened, attempted to bribe, and that the channel had not made reasonable efforts to obtain Nasir Butt’s position.
