The Punjab government has decided to trial the accused involved in the May 9 incidents inside the jail.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, in which the progress on legal proceedings against the miscreants involved in the May 9 incidents was reviewed.
It was said in the meeting that the cases against the accused under the Anti-Terrorism Act will be heard daily, the relevant institutions will be regularly informed about the trial inside the jail.
In the meeting, it was also agreed to speed up legal actions against the miscreants involved in the May 9 incidents.
Mohsin Naqvi directed the police and the prosecution to present strong evidence against the accused and said that no miscreant involved in the events of May 9 will be spared and no innocent will be allowed to go unpunished.
In the briefing given to the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab in the meeting, it was told that 200 people have been acquitted after being found innocent during the investigation, the cases against the miscreants are being presented with strong evidence.
