The law and order situation in the Indian state of Manipur has gone out of the control of the government and the army, the separatists have blocked the highway and held 200 army personnel hostage for two weeks.

In Bishnopur city, separatists blocked the NH2 highway where a convoy of 19 Indian Army vehicles and trucks has been stuck since June 1.

According to the report of the Indian newspaper India Today, military officers, junior commissioned officers and other rank officials are included in the convoy.

Three helicopters were dispatched from Imphal to Chorachandpur on June 13 to control the situation.

Essential items and dry rations have been delivered to the military personnel stranded on the highway through these helicopters.

The situation worsened when the separatists searched army officers and personnel and demanded their identity cards.

The convoy of 19 trucks with military personnel had rations including 1100 kg of fish and 275 kg of chicken which rotted, the rotting meat was destroyed due to fear of disease spread.

4 tons of vegetables and 4 tons of fruits of the military convoy have also been damaged due to getting stuck in the road block.

Apart from 200 personnel, there were dozens of other military personnel who were supposed to report on reaching Occupied Kashmir, Arunachal and Sikkim, but the separatists did not allow them to pass through Kangwai area. Took away.
