22 thousand 260 people have been shifted to safe places, Sharjeel Memon


Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has said that a total of 22,260 people from around 6,000 families have been shifted to safe places from the coastal belt in view of the threat of cyclone Baparjoy.

In a statement, Sharjeel Memon said that 4 thousand from Thatta district, 17 thousand 320 from Badin, 4 thousand 727 from Sajawal have been transferred to safe places.

The provincial minister further said that 3,000 people from Tehsil Keti Bandar and 1,000 from Tehsil Ghoda Bari were shifted to a safe place.

He said that 14 thousand 310 people from Tehsil Shaheed Fazil Rahu, 3 thousand 10 people from Tehsil Badin were shifted to safe places.

Sharjeel Memon also said that 1,727 people from Tehsil Jati, 3,000 people from Tehsil Kharochan were shifted to safe places.

He said that 7 relief camps have been established in Keti Bandar, 3 in Ghoda Bari, 10 in Shaheed Fazil Rahu, 4 in Sajawal and 3 in Badin.
