Investigations on BRT and the Bullen Tree project are slowing down.
According to the sources, NAB started the investigation of BRT 11 months ago, during which the bank guarantee provided by the contractor and some other documents were found to be fake.
Sources say that due to the alleged allegations, Shahbaz Sharif banned the BRT contractor from awarding contracts in Punjab during the Chief Ministership.
On the other hand, NAB started the investigation into the Bullion Tree project 5 years ago and despite this, the investigation has not been completed till now.
According to the sources, NAB had sought records from the Forest Department regarding the investigation of the Bullen Tree project and recorded the statements of various people including the officers of the Forest Department.
