Abu Dhabi: Violation of new traffic laws in the United Arab Emirates has been approved with severe penalties and heavy fines.
According to Arab media, the Abu Dhabi Police has warned that throwing cigarette butts, empty water bottles and plastic bags on the road from a moving vehicle will result in a fine of 1,000 dirhams (75,000 Pakistani rupees).
The traffic police spokesman says that this initiative has been taken to reduce traffic accidents and improve the quality of the city.
The United Arab Emirates is one of the few countries in the world where people from all over the world come for tourism and business. In this country, which is decorated with the tallest buildings in the world, the traffic rules are very strict.
Traffic in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah is very congested and the slightest violation of traffic rules leads to traffic jams for hours.
