Arrest of local elected representatives of Karachi, Jamaat-e-Islami will hold nationwide protest tomorrow

Karachi: Jamaat Islai announced a nationwide protest against the arrest of elected local body representatives before the election of the mayor.

Today is the last day to submit nomination papers for the election of mayor and deputy mayor of Karachi. Salman Abdullah Murad will submit his nomination form for Deputy Mayor today.

Talking to the media on the occasion of submission of nomination papers, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that we have challenged the selection method on June 15. Sindh government’s amendment is unconstitutional, we have high hopes from the courts. Since the announcement of the mayor’s election, 5 chairmen have been arrested. He said that the People’s Party is missing elected representatives. Tried to buy first, then disappeared.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the Election Commission should have already announced Jayale Mayor. Champions of democracy are using undemocratic methods. All tactics are being used to capture Shahr Quaid. We will prove our majority. Even in 70s, the People’s Party did not recognize the majority and the mandate. This is the history of the People’s Party in 77 as well. The People’s Party supported the dictatorship and humiliated the motherland.

Amir Jamaat said that they accepted the fake constituencies. People’s Party has the support of Election Commission and ROs. Despite all efforts, the People’s Party could not get a majority. After the majority of Jamaat and PTI, from which mouth are they talking about bringing the mayor. People’s Party wants to strengthen the occupation system, the system is working. There is no place where 80% corruption does not occur.

He said that Bilawal Bhutto’s fascist party is using every unconstitutional method. Tomorrow there will be a protest against fascism. Tomorrow there will be a nationwide protest. There will be a peaceful protest in Karachi too.

On the other hand, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Central Information Secretary Qaiser Sharif has said that the minority party has resorted to bullying and police brutality after Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman showed majority for Karachi mayor. He announced that Jamaat-e-Islami will hold protests across the country on Sunday, June 11. Amir Jamaat will also address the protest demonstration in Karachi on Sunday itself.
