Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that he was surprised to see the news that sales tax has been imposed on milk.
While holding a post-budget press conference in Islamabad, Ishaq Dar denied the imposition of sales tax on milk and said that 9 percent tax on milk is not correct, 90 percent of the country’s milk is sold in bulk.
He said that the only proposal was to impose tax on canned milk, I would like to clarify that there is no sales tax on milk.
It should be noted that yesterday Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presented a budget of 14 thousand 460 billion for the financial year 2023-24 in the session of the National Assembly.
