Tehreek-e-Insaf President and former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi is likely to be produced in the Gujranwala court today on charges of corruption of more than 2 billion rupees.
Yesterday, the local court of Lahore discharged Parvez Elahi from the case of financial irregularities in development projects.
As soon as Parvez Elahi was released, he was arrested in another case and taken to Gujranwala by the anti-corruption team.
It should be noted that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was discharged from the case while delivering the verdict yesterday.
The court had ordered that no evidence of corruption was found, Parvez Elahi should be released if he is not named in any other case.
