Washington: The US is currently at risk of default and only $38.5 billion is left in the national treasury. On the other hand, there are 31 richest people in the world whose individual wealth is more than the US treasury.

According to a report published in Bloomberg, the wealth of Bernard Arnault, the richest man in the world with assets of 221 billion dollars, is 5 times more than the amount in the US treasury.

Bernard Arnault is not the only person with more wealth than the U.S. Treasury, but there are not one or two, but 31 people on this list who have more wealth than the U.S. Treasury.

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter and Tesla, is worth $190 billion, which is $150 billion more than the US Treasury. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Microsoft owner Bill Gates also own $144 billion and $126 billion respectively, which is $100 billion more than the US Treasury.

Similarly, Larry Ellison 118 billion, Steve Ballmer 115 billion, Warren Buffett 112 billion, Larry Page 112 billion, Sergey Brin 106 billion and Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg have assets of 95.8 billion dollars.

All of them have people from America who have more wealth than their government. Similarly, China and India also have two personalities who own more property than the American treasury.

It should be remembered that as of May 25, the US treasury had 38.5 billion dollars in cash, while in the month of April it was around 238 billion dollars. An ever-shrinking U.S. Treasury has increased the country’s risk of default.

Faced with the threat of bankruptcy, US President Joe Biden has met with the Speaker and the Leader of the Opposition and agreed to bring a debt ceiling bill to the Assembly.

If the US House of Representatives does not approve this bill by June 5, the government will face a shortage of money to pay and the US will go bankrupt.
