Fist: 6 people were killed and 8 injured due to lightning strike in Tharparkar district of Sindh.
Lightning struck the pilgrims of Hindu saint Faqir Parbraham at Vidijhap village in Diplo during thunderstorms in and around Mithi.
According to rescue sources, when the lightning struck, a caravan of pilgrims was walking to the hermitage of Faqir Parbraham on foot to participate in the annual fair.
As a result of the lightning strike, three people died on the spot while several others were injured and shifted to Civil Hospital, Mithi. According to the police, the deceased belong to Mithi city.
According to the police, the participants had stayed at village Satar near Mithi due to rain, where the incident took place. Three of the deceased were identified as Santosh Soni, Gopu Soni and Vivek Lohana.
