Ayaz Amir and Hasan Askari were nominated by the opposition. When the parties did not agree, the matter went to the Election Commission. Hassan Askari of the opposition was appointed by the Election Commission. He was appointed as caretaker chief minister. Successfully conducted the elections.

The Chief Election Commissioner called an important meeting yesterday for the appointment of the caretaker chief minister of Pakistan’s largest province in terms of population. .

The names of Ahmed Nawaz Sukhira and Naveed Akram Cheema have been proposed by the government, while the opposition has nominated Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Ahad Cheema.
