Iran has summoned the ambassador of Switzerland over the Swiss Foreign Ministry’s statement condemning the execution of those accused of the alleged murder of security personnel.
On Friday, Switzerland’s foreign ministry tweeted the execution of three people was strongly condemned.
The Swiss Foreign Ministry said in a tweet that Switzerland urges Iran to stop executions and take steps to reduce the death penalty.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in its statement that Swiss Ambassador Nadine Lozano has been summoned for Switzerland’s interference in the country’s internal affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that such unorthodox actions are not suitable for the friendly relations of countries like the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Swiss Confederation, they should be corrected.
It should be noted that Iran executed Majid Kazemi, Saleh Mir Hashemi and Saeed Yaghoubi for the murder of three security personnel.
