According to foreign media reports, according to a study by World of Statistics, a group in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of Georgia State University, Pakistan has the highest prevalence rate of diabetes at 30.8%.
The study included data from 38 countries, with Pakistan ranking first, followed by Kuwait with 24.9 percent and Egypt with 20.9 percent of diabetes cases.
Medical experts around the world have advised to include exercise in the daily routine as it can control diseases like diabetes.
Pakistan, the fifth most populous country in the world, is also among the countries with the highest proportion of deaths of people under the age of 60 due to chronic medical conditions.
Shockingly, more than a quarter of adults living with diabetes in the South Asian country are undiagnosed, leading health experts to call for more funding to tackle the problem.
On the other hand, according to statistics, Nigeria has the lowest rate of diabetes at 3.6%.
