Voting time for presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey is over

Ankara: Voting for presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey has ended.

According to the international news organization, the polling process for the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey, which started at 8 am, ended by 5 pm.

6 crore 6 lakh 97 thousand 843 registered voters participated in the general elections held for the 28th term of parliament, 24 political parties and 151 independent candidates from across Turkey.

In case none of the presidential candidates can get a clear majority, the second round of the election will be held on May 28.

The names of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Muharram Anje, Kamal Kulchdar Olu and Sinan Awan will be on the ballot paper for the presidential elections, but Muharram Anje has announced his withdrawal from his candidacy on May 11.

It should be noted that more than 50,000 people died in the earthquake that occurred in Turkey on February 6, while the cities were turned into ruins, but despite this, President Tayyip Erdogan fulfilled the constitutional requirements of holding elections.
