The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started an investigation into several allegations against Tehreek-e-Insaf’s former federal minister Murad Saeed.
According to the document received by Geo News, NAB has requested records from Secretary Local Government, Secretary Livestock and Secretary Irrigation to investigate several allegations.
Letters were sent to investigate the alleged corruption, bribery and illegal appointments against Murad Saeed and other complaints.
NAB issued notices to Secretary Local Government, Secretary Irrigation and Secretary Livestock and sought records till May 24.
According to the notice sent by the NAB to the Secretary Irrigation, the agency has received complaints related to the alleged corruption in the department’s development project in Bagh Dheri, Swat, which has been decided to be investigated.
In this regard, records of complete details regarding Bagh Dheri Irrigation Channel Tehsil Matta project cost, successful bidding contractors, financial expenses and expenses incurred on the project were sought.
NAB has sought information from Secretary Local Government, Livestock, Irrigation regarding alleged illegal appointments, NAB has sought details regarding alleged corruption and corrupt practices from Secretary Local Government. According to the letter, the property was allegedly purchased by frontman Hameed and Fazal Moola with the money received from these sources.
