Karachi: K Electric has approached Nepra for renewal of its distribution licence, whose 20-year license will expire on July 20, 2023.
According to Express News, K Electric has applied to Nepra to renew its distribution license for 20 years in view of the expiry of its agreement.
In the application, K Electric has said that the 20-year license period will expire on July 20, 2023, and the license should be extended for another 20 years, i.e., till July 20, 2043.
K Electric has said that the company is providing services to 3.4 lakh customers, the renewal of the license is in the interest of the customers and the electric power industry, so the contract period should be extended.
In this regard, Nepra has sought feedback from all stakeholders and citizens within 14 days.
