Israel demolished a Palestinian school in the occupied West Bank. The European Union has strongly condemned the Israeli authorities’ move to demolish Palestinian schools.
Students say that the building was reduced to rubble, leaving no trace of the school.
The EU delegation working for the Palestinians said on its official Twitter account that it was shocked by the move to demolish the school.
He said that 60 Palestinian children will be affected by the demolition of the school. The EU delegation said the demolition of the building was illegal under international law.
He said that this move will further increase the suffering of the Palestinian population and increase the already existing tension in the environment.
A statement from the Israeli army claimed that the building, located about 2 kilometers from Jerusalem, was built illegally and therefore an Israeli court ordered its demolition.
