Islamabad: The Supreme Court dismissed the defense ministry’s appeal for recovery of dues of 9 crores as inadmissible.
The Supreme Court termed the appeal regarding the dues of the Ministry of Defense as frivolous and imposed a fine of one lakh rupees on the Ministry of Defense for filing the appeal.
According to the judgement, the petitioner Ministry of Defense misused the process of law, the appeal and claim of dues of the Ministry of Defense is frivolous and valuable time of the court was wasted by the frivolous appeal.
Justice Jamal Khan Mandukhel wrote a four-page judgment.
The Ministry of Defense had filed a claim against the private company for breach of contract for 9 crore dues. The trial court and the High Court had ruled against the Ministry of Defence.
