The US has demanded Pakistan to move forward on the reforms of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Elizabeth Horst, who is in charge of the US State Department Pakistan, while giving a statement in the US think tank, said that the reforms agreed upon by Pakistan and the IMF are not easy.
Elizabeth Horst said that implementation of these reforms is necessary to put Pakistan back on a strong financial footing, Pakistan should take these steps to avoid further debt and develop the economy.
He said that America will continue to support Pakistan through technical engagements and assistance.
Elizabeth Horst added that Pakistan will support policies that promote a free, fair and transparent business environment.
