A gang of bank employees and withdrawing money from citizens' accounts was caught

Rawalpindi: FIA Cybercrime Circle Rawalpindi traced the gang who pretended to be bank employees and transferred money from citizens’ accounts to their own accounts and arrested six accused.

According to FIA officials, the accused fraudulently transferred an amount of more than 19 lakh rupees from the citizen’s bank account to different bank accounts. Marker was arrested.

The accused are alleged to have committed several financial frauds by pretending to be bank employees, the accused also called the complainant posing as a bank employee and gained access to his bank account by obtaining personal data and 19 lakhs. Transferred more than 58 thousand rupees to different accounts.

Among the arrested accused are Muhammad Farooq, Umar Usman, Muhammad Nauman, Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Aslam and Muhammad Adnan who were using advanced technology to call citizens.

Officials further said that 7 mobile phones have been recovered from the possession of the accused and a case has been registered under PICA Act, further investigation is going on with the accused.
