The world's largest Eid prayer gatherings at Masjid al-Haram, Masjid-e-Nabawi ﷺ

The largest Eid-ul-Fitr prayer gatherings around the world were held in Masjid al-Haram and Masjid-e-Nabawi (peace be upon him) in Saudi Arabia.

Millions of children of Islam performed the Eid al-Fitr prayers in Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid al-Nabawi in Madinah.

Arrangements for Eid prayers in 20700 mosques

Arrangements were made at 20,700 mosques and places across the country to offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers on behalf of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia.

More than 6,000 men and women were assigned the responsibility of monitoring mosques and places of prayer on behalf of the ministry.

After sighting the moon, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be held on Friday, April 21.

Congratulations to the Muslim Ummah of the Custodian of the Two Holy Harams

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on Eid.

In his message, King Salman said that the day of Eid should bring good news of peace and stability and peace and contentment in the region.

Khadim-i-Haramin Sharifeen said that he is feeling happy while congratulating Eid-ul-Fitr.

King Salman bin Abdulaziz prayed that every year Eid-ul-Fitr brings good news, may Allah accept all our fasting, Taraweeh, Tahajjud and good deeds.

Guidelines for Friday Prayers on the Day of Eid

Since Eid-ul-Fitr is today, Friday, April 21, the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs issued an explanation about the order of Friday prayers.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs had issued guidelines for mosques, which said that those attending Eid prayers on Fridays are exempted from attending Friday prayers, they can offer Zuhr prayers. However, it is encouraged to perform both prayers.

Those who will not participate in the Eid prayer are not exempted from the Friday prayer, the Imams of the mosques should arrange for the Friday prayer for those who do not attend the Eid prayer.

Those who have attended the Eid prayer and do not attend the Friday prayer, then it is obligatory for them to perform the Zuhr prayer.
