Ghotki: Bandits attacked the Salamgoth police picket in the limits of Gamru police station, as a result of which 2 officers were martyred.
According to Express News, robbers attacked the Salam Goth police picket in Ghotki district in the limits of Gamro police station, as a result of which 2 officers were martyred. Ali Gohar Dayo and Kishore Kumar are among those martyred while one official was also injured.
According to DIG Sukkur Javed Jaskani, more than a dozen robbers attacked the checkpoint, after the attack, more than 10 robbers managed to escape, but the police is chasing the robbers.
The police said that the bodies of the martyred personnel in the attack on the post were taken to the hospital, while the injured personnel were shifted to the Sukkur Civil Hospital.
Injured officer Aziz Mirani said in his statement that 3 officers were stationed at the police post, the SHO had ordered to be on alert at about 1:30 in the night, later the attackers were a large number of robbers and riding motorcycles, a sudden attack. What, we had three policemen present out of which 2 were martyred.
He further said that the martyrdom of his fellow officers is sad but morale is high.
