People’s Party senator and former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that the situation in the country is dire, conflict between institutions is not in the interest of the country.
In a statement, Yusuf Raza Gilani said that the political powers signed the Charter of Democracy and the 18th Amendment.
He said that Asif Ali Zardari as the President of the country gave all the powers to the Parliament.
The PP senator added that he is currently talking to his allied parties and will talk to other parties as well.
He said that there has never been a disagreement between the People’s Party and the PML-N on the transfer of power after the Charter of Democracy.
Yusuf Raza Gilani also said that PML-N has also said that they will do what they can for Pakistan, democracy and rule of law.
