After thousands of cases of extorting money from citizens in the name of police by claiming the arrest of a loved one in a rape case, now fraudsters have started robbing simple citizens in the name of army headquarters for the rest of the census information.
Fraudulent callers pretend to be army personnel by calling from various mobile phone numbers and pretend to get the remaining information by answering census questions.
The fake military official asks civilians to talk to their major with information such as business or jobs.
The fake major asks the citizen about tax payment and then obtains bank account information.
Asking about using an ATM card and then trying to get the ATM number and code using gimmicks.
In this way, these scammers deprive common and simple citizens of their bank accounts by deceiving them as Pakistan Army.
According to the officials, no government department makes any phone calls to the citizens regarding the census, the citizens should not be fooled by such frauds.
