Karachi: The Rangers and the police conducted a joint operation and arrested Asadullah Afghani, the accused involved in the murder of three brothers during a raid in Machhar Colony.

A 9 mm pistol used in the murder along with ammunition was recovered from the possession of the accused. According to the statement of Sindh Rangers, on December 10, 2022, 3 brothers, 24-year-old Nazar Muhammad, 26-year-old Khayal Muhammad and 25-year-old Syed Muhammad, were shot dead by unknown persons in the area of ​​New Karachi Gabol Town river.

The police found 14 shells of 9 mm and one shell of 30 bore pistol from the spot. FIR of the incident was registered in Gabol Town police station. Later, the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and the police organized a joint action plan and acting on the basis of intelligence information arrested the accused Asadullah Afghani from Machhar Colony.

During the initial investigation, the accused along with his other accomplices Milad Shah Afghani, Sadiq Afghani alias Qari and Yasin alias Anka have confessed to killing the above 3 persons over a dispute over a drug den. The accused has also admitted involvement in several incidents of robbery and street crime.

Among the incidents that the accused has confessed to, on November 29, 2022, robbery at Qayyumabad Supermarket, a shopkeeper at Sohrab Goth and at the house of Juma Khan Afghani. The robbery FIR is registered in Sohrab Goth police station. Raids are being conducted to arrest other accomplices of the accused. The arrested accused along with arms and ammunition were handed over to the police for further legal action.
