Karachi: The Pakistan Flour Mills Association has given a 48-hour ultimatum to the Sindh government to end the ban on wheat supply, fearing a flour crisis in Karachi.

In the meeting chaired by Chairman of Pakistan Flour Mills Association Sindh Region, Chaudhry Amir, it has been decided to announce a strict plan of action after 48 hours if the ban on the delivery of wheat from inside Sindh is not lifted for the flour mills of Karachi. will go

Chaudhry Amir said that more than 50% of the mills have been closed due to the stoppage of wheat delivery in Karachi, while all other mills will be closed in the next few days.

He said that there is no wheat production in Karachi, the flour mills of Karachi get private wheat from inside Sindh to produce flour and other products, so the government should immediately allow free transportation of wheat from inside Sindh.

He said that the price of 100 kg of wheat in Sindh is 10,400 rupees, while the same wheat is being sold at 11,800 rupees in Karachi.

Chaudhry Amir said that this difference in wheat prices in the province has become a cause of corruption. He said that due to the undeclared ban on the delivery of wheat, fear of flour crisis has arisen in Karachi.
