President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit will be ‘rescheduled’
Islamabad: UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan postponed a one-day official visit to Islamabad due to bad weather.
He was waiting for take off from 7:30 in the morning but could not come to Islamabad due to heavy rain and weather conditions in Bahawalpur. Security did not allow them to fly due to bad weather.
The dates of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Islamabad will be announced again.
He contacted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and expressed his regret over the cancellation of the visit and assured that he will come to Islamabad soon for a two-day visit, God willing.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that your safety and security is dear to us, we cannot take the risk of flying in severe weather.
IG Islamabad and Security Division removed the personnel and all the roads of Islamabad were opened for traffic.
In view of his visit, today was a public holiday in the federal capital.

All preparations for his visit were complete. They were to arrive at PAF Noor Khan Air Base under the protection of JF-17s where a 21-gun salute was to be given. Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and important members of the federal cabinet were ready to welcome him, but all the preparations were left behind.
Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Pakistan on a private visit on January 25. Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif welcomed him at Rahim Yar Khan Airport. A meeting was also held between the two leaders in Rahim Yar Khan where Sheikh’s house is also.
