Judgment reserved on the petition of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi against NAB notices

The decision was reserved on the petition of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi against NAB notices.

A division bench hearing was held under the chairmanship of Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq.

On behalf of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, lawyer Khawaja Haris said that the NAB notice did not mention the status in which the information is being sought, court decisions have already come, it is necessary to give full information about the notice.

Lawyer Khawaja Haris said that it is necessary for NAB to provide complete information, these decisions had come before the old law of NAB.

Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq asked that what is the method of notice in the NAB law which has been amended now?

Lawyer Khawaja Haris said that the amendment law says that it is necessary to tell why you are calling someone, in the amendment law you have to tell whether someone was called as an accused or for any other reason.

The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court then asked whether Imran Khan has received summons notices.

The lawyer of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi told the court that the call-up notices have arrived.

Khawaja Haris presented the notices of NAB in the court.

Lawyer Khawaja Haris said that NAB did not provide us information in these notices, the notice only contains an inquiry against public office holders, in the case of gifts, Cabinet Division, FBR are also included, Cabinet Division and FBR. Also come in public office holder.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq asked lawyer Khawaja Haris whether Imran Khan appeared in response to these notices.

Justice Thaman Rifat Imtiaz asked whether NAB took any new action on Imran Khan’s answer.

Imran Khan’s lawyer told the court that NAB has not taken any new action yet.

The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court remarked that he may have been satisfied with Imran Khan’s answer that the case was not made.

Lawyer Khawaja Haris argued that we are afraid that the case will be changed from an inquiry to an investigation. When Aftab Sultan resigned, it was noticed the next day. Aftab Sultan said that he was under pressure.

The court called the NAB prosecutor present in the courtroom to the rostrum.

The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court asked the NAB prosecutor whether a notice was sent to Imran Khan again, the NAB prosecutor told the court that a reminder notice was sent to Imran Khan.

The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court remarked that the execution of court decisions is not seen in your notices. We will issue orders on these requests.

The court reserved its decision on the petitions of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi against the NAB notices.
