A private Pakistani airline has started international flights

Lahore: Air Sial, the third private airline of the country, started international flights.

The inaugural flight of Air Sial left Lahore Airport for Jeddah on Wednesday afternoon with 160 passengers. The airline’s chairman, board of directors officers and CAA officials saw off the passengers of the inaugural flight.

National team fast bowler Haris Rauf and former test cricketer Aqib Javed participated in the opening ceremony. Chairman Air Sial Fazal Jilani said on this occasion that after the successful domestic operation, the start of international flights is a big success for us. In the first phase, 8 weekly flights will be operated from Lahore, Islamabad to Jeddah, in the next phase, Karachi, Flights will operate from Multan and Sialkot to Jeddah.

He said that there is a plan to operate flights to Gulf countries as well, currently Air Sial flights are being operated by Airbus 320, soon larger aircraft will be added to the air fleet and after the ban in European countries is lifted. Air Sial will also start operations to London and Manchester.
