The levy on petrol remains at Rs 50 per liter while the levy on diesel has been increased by Rs 5 per litre.

According to the sources of petroleum division, the levy on diesel has been reduced to 40 rupees per liter, the levy on kerosene has been reduced by 5 rupees 90 paisa, and the levy on kerosene has been fixed at 32 paisa per liter.

Sources have said that the price of petroleum products has been increased at an average dollar exchange rate of 236 rupees 40 paise, the dollar average exchange rate has been taken from January 16 to January 27.

Petroleum division sources also say that crude oil and other products have become expensive up to 11% in the global market.
