Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated 2 projects of 1650 MW electricity in Tharparkar
Thar: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated historic projects in Sindh Tharparkar.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated 1320 MW Shanghai Electric Thar and 330 MW Thal Nova Thar projects in Tharparkar Sindh.
These Thar coal-fired projects will generate 11.24 billion units of low-cost electricity annually. With the inauguration of these projects built with a total direct investment of 3.53 billion dollars, the current production of electricity from Thar coal will increase to 3300 MW.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister also announced the gift of a hospital to Thar from the federal government.
While speaking, he said that Thar coal can generate thousands of megawatts of electricity for 100 years.
The Prime Minister said that personal interest should be sacrificed not once but a thousand times over the wider interest of Pakistan.
He said that terrorists will not be sheltered in the country, the enemies of Pakistan’s development will be defeated.
Shahbaz Sharif said that unfortunately, no work has been done on thermals and transmission lines since 4 years.
He further said that the next phase of CPEC is agriculture, technology and economic zones, the coalition government considers CPEC as part of development.
