Karachi: Commissioner House Karachi has completed the arrangements for finalizing and implementing the strategy to control food prices in the month of Ramadan.

Assistant Commissioners, Bureau of Supply officers and police officials will implement the official price list in order to set the proper price of food items for the month of Ramadan and ensure the availability of food items at the official rate on behalf of the Karachi administration.

In this regard, several meetings were held under the chairmanship of the commissioner, in the meeting with the deputy commissioners, it was decided that thrift markets will be set up in all districts of Karachi where food and drink items will be provided cheaper than the fixed price. Flour, oil, ghee, grocery and wholesale traders of vegetables and fruits will set up their stalls in the thrift markets of each district.

The Commissioner has appealed to the citizens to help the administration and register the complaints of those violating the official rates in the offices of the Commissioner Karachi and Deputy Commissioners in their control rooms.
