Cairo: Negotiations are ongoing between the Palestinian Authority and Israel, mediated by Egypt, for complete freedom of worship for Muslims in Jerusalem during the month of Ramadan.

According to the World News Agency, expressing concern over the increase in violence in the West Bank before the holy month of Ramadan, Egypt has invited the parties to peace talks.

With the efforts of the United States and Jordan, Israeli and Palestinian officials reached the resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt. Where the authorities of Egypt, America and Jordan were also present.

In the talks, along with establishing peace in the month of Ramadan, a strategy was agreed upon for Muslims to perform full and uninterrupted prayers in Beit Al-Maqdis and de-escalation of tension in the West Bank was emphasized.

It should be noted that the first meeting of the five countries was held on February 26 in Jordan, in which promises were made to reduce the tension between Israel and the Palestinians, but it could not be implemented.

A statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the purpose of the meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh is to support dialogue to end violence and live peacefully in Palestine.

Egypt has once again reiterated its determination to facilitate the creation of an environment conducive to the restoration of the peace process in the West Bank.

It should be noted that last year in the month of Ramadan, the Israeli police prevented Muslims from worshiping in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the fact that the parties had agreed to ban Jews from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of the mosque.
