India’s largest airlines IndiGo and GoFirst have grounded 50 Airbus A320 aircraft due to engine supply chain and PNW issues.
Videos of the grounded Airbus planes have also been shared on social media, in which IndiGo and GoFirst planes are parked in the empty ground of the airport.
According to the foreign news agency, despite this major technical issue, the operation of the airline will not be affected.
A senior company official at one of the budget carriers said that to overcome the persistent problems with P&W engines, a change of engine supplier is also being considered for their next purchase order.
India’s IndiGo Air, which came into being in August 2005, has emerged as India’s largest airline in just 16 years, operating 310 aircraft to 101 destinations worldwide.
