Efforts to arrest Chairman PTI, former Prime Minister Imran Khan have been going on in Lahore since yesterday, at that time a heavy contingent of Rangers reached outside Zaman Park.
Police advanced early in the morning from 3 sides Dharampura, Mall Road and Sunder Das Road towards Zaman Park, reached Gate No. 1 but after stone pelting and attacks by PTI workers, police were forced to retreat.
Water cannons, motorcycles, fire brigades were set on fire
Demonstrators set fire to police water cannons, damaged police vehicles, and burnt motorcycles of traffic wardens.
The fire tender of Rescue 1122 arrived to douse the fire and the workers also set it on fire.

The police retaliated by lathi-charging the PTI workers, washing them with water cannons.
Stones were pelted, cannons fired, sticks rained down
The PTI workers pelted stones, fired grenades, and threw sticks.
DIG Islamabad and other officials injured by stone pelting
DIG Islamabad Shahzad Bukhari, SP Amara Shirazi, DPO Sheikhupora and 33 police officers and one civilian were injured in the stone pelting.
The police fired shells during which some shells also fell inside Imran Khan’s house.
PTI workers ransacked the mall road, broke fancy lights, uprooted trees, broke the tuff tiles on the footpath and threw stones at the police, after the clashes, the mall road was cleared.
15 PTI workers arrested
More than 15 workers of PTI were arrested by the police.
Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant restored
It should be noted that the Islamabad court had restored Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant while pronouncing a reserved judgment on the immunity petition filed by Chairman PTI in the Tosha Khana case.
The court had ordered the police to arrest and produce Imran Khan on March 18. It is the job of the police to produce Imran Khan in court.
The court also rejected Imran Khan’s plea for exemption from attendance, after which the PTI chairman’s non-bailable arrest warrant was reinstated.
