Iran's contract to buy warplanes from Russia is in the final stage

Tehran: Iran finalized the agreement to buy advanced technology combat aircraft (Sukhoi Su-35) from Russia, America’s biggest rival.

Reuters news agency quoted Iranian media as saying that Su-35 warplanes are acceptable to Iran and the deal has been finalized.

Russia has not yet confirmed it, while the details of the deal, which are of great importance, have not been revealed.

According to the report, Iran is in talks with some other countries to buy military aircraft.

In July of last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in the context of the war against Ukraine and Western pressure, during a meeting with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini in Tehran, emphasized the expansion of closer relations.
